Brands to watch out for in 2023!

Glossies, we always want you to be ahead of the trends - so, to help you out this January, we’ve carefully put together our list of the fresh and inspiring beauty brands to watch out for in 2023.

We all love our skincare glossies and Drunk Elephant needs to make it's way onto your shelves! A brand that strives to inspire and educate their customers! Taking Tik Tok by storm last year, showing off effective results and cute packaging. Drunk Elephant is one to watch for 2023!

Known for teaching us about the 'Suspicious 6' - six ingredients that they believe are the root to 99% of skin troubles - that you will never find in any if their products!

Essential oils, drying alcohols, silicones, chemical sunscreens, fragrances/dyes, SLS (sodium lauryl sulfate)

Drunk Elephant is all about achieving healthy-looking, balanced and radiant skin - while having fun with Skincare! Our 2023 mantra tbh glossies! Which is why we are adding this brand onto your watch list for this year!

Curate your own skincare routine - a skincare 'smoothie' Drunk Elephant like to call it - from their array of unique products, to match your own personal skincare needs! Remember glossies, our skin changes with the weather, our age and our cycle, to name a fee examples, which means our skin needs aren't always the same - so make sure you change up or add to your routine when you need to!

It's all in the name with this revitalising face mask - with it's main goal being leaving your complexion baby-soft! Apply an even layer to clean and dry skin. Leave on for around 10 to 15 minutes, to allow the formula to rid your face and pores of dead skin cells and dirt. You may feel a slight tingle - don't worry, it just means it's working!

Then rinse with lukewarm water and gently pat your face dry. Now listen up glossies! This mask cannot be mixed with any other formula other than the Drunk Elephant Virgin Marula Oil - which you can apply immediately after your mask when your face is dry.

This mask packs a punch with it's ingredients glossies. Matcha, apple, milk thistle and pomegranate - soothes and conditions your complexion. Chickpea flour brightens and balances, while Marula Oil leaves skin with a flawless glass-like finish! Perfect for any skin type! To top it off, of course it's vegan and cruelty-free.

Founded by sisters Hannah and Sophie in 2014, in their garage in South Wales, Spectrum is now recognised worldwide for their effective beauty tools and their iconic collaborations. From Mean Girls, to Disney, Michelle Keegan to Netflix's hit show Emily in Paris, this brand have some unique and chic collections to date! I cannot wait to see what Spectrum release their year, so of course they had to be included in my 'Brands to Watch' list 2023!

If you haven't heard of Spectrum... (firstly, where have you been?)...get to know this fun and cute brand by their five core values!

3 - Bold Design (just take a look at their products to know they do this on the regular!)

5 - Kind to our Planet, Spectrum strive to be environmentally aware through their packaging and making of their products. My current fave product from Spectrum.

As I mentioned Spectrum are known for their iconic collabs, and their Netflix's Emily in Paris collection is trés chic!

This 3 Piece Macaroon Sponge Set - a set of 3 pastel coloured base sponges, (in a yummy raspberry hue, a chic rose and gorgeous pistachio hue) are sweet, soft, chic and are perfect to blend and set your base makeup in place! Whether you have liquid or cream products, these sponges blend to perfection, leaving you with a flawless finish! I use my 3 for foundation, cream bronzer and liquid blush! C'est manifique!

Glossies, a brand we all need to keep our eyes on this year is Dr Jart+! We have all heard of K-POP, thanks to record breaking bands like Blackpink and BTS but have you heard of K-Beauty? Korean Skincare is in depth and so specific - that between all the Korean Skincare brands out there - you'll have a fix for every and any skincare concern.

Dr Jart+ was founded in 2005 by architect Leeo (Chin Wook) Lee. Working in Seoul in South Korea at the time, Leeo came across an exclusive face balm used only in professional treatments. This magical balm treated spots but had the visual effects of makeup! (Yes you read that right glossies)

Leeo abandoned his career to pursue his inspiration of hybrid products that could ease beauty routines. (Thank you Leeo!) Working in labs, him and his team interpreted the magical balm into what is today their Dr Jart+ BB Cream.

Celebrating their 18th birthday this year, Dr Jart+ have had recent online trending products and soaring reviews. I cannot wait to see what they come out with in 2023!

Formulated using Centella Asiatica (Tiger Grass), this rich mask encourages your skin to tap into its own natural restorative cycles, aiding redness and blemishes. The unique formula boasts the ability to prevent dust and other unwanted particles, from harming your delicate, sensitive skin.

The consistency is quite thick, so a little goes along way. Everyone online, has been astounded by how much colour correcting this magic cream gives, no foundation needed!

Too Faced is a brand we all know and love, and have done since 1998! They encourage their customers to feel powerful and confident, allowing each user to express themselves through makeup! Too Faced understand that makeup is a mood booster, and the effects it gives us, is more than just a little colour on our face.

Too Faced own the word iconic! From their Better Than Sex collection, Hangover Skincare, Born This Way base makeup and powerful Lip Injections!

Celebrating their 25 year anniversary in 2023, I'm looking forward to see what cute, inspiring and unique products they bring out! From their iconic annual Pumpkin Palette, to their limited edition collections - 2023 is going to be Too Faced's year!

Too Faced have already started the year with a bang! By bringing out a new Cocoa collection - which includes the iconic Better Than Sex Mascara in a new, sexy chocolate shade!

Last year I fell in love with brown mascara's, so this is a dream! Same formula as the OG mascara - so think lasting volume and definition. The hourglass-shaped brush grabs and coats each individual lash from root to tip, leaving you with immense length. Senegal tree extract encourages fuller-looking lashes with a flirty flutter, and remember glossies...in a brand new yummy chocolate shade.

My last brand to watch out for this year glossies is the trending sensation that is NYX!

Founded in 1999 by Toni Ko and named after Nyx - the Greek goddess of the night - this LA founded brand lives and breathes self-expression!

NYX wants every customer to experiment, have fun and for their products to be accessible for everyone! The last couple of years NYX have had a handful of their products trend on Tik Tok - everyone has heard of NYX! From their marshmellow primer to their Shine Loud Shine High Lip Colour. Glossies...I can't wait to see which beauty buy trends next!

The current online trending product from NYX is their defining and brightening Wonder Stick! This highly pigmented, dual-ended highlight and contour stick - enhances and defines your natural beauty. I apply the lighter shade across the high points of my face and the darker shade I use to define my cheekbones, jawline and hairline. This wonder stick is so easy to use thanks to it being super blendable and creamy! Glossies this needs to be in your makeup bag ASAP!
