With October literally only days away, there’s one main thing on everyone's minds... Halloween! And while we may not be able to go out and enjoy the scary shenanigans we normally get up to, we can definitely still stay in and gorge on horror and Halloween themed films.

The Haunting of Bly Manor
Did The Haunting of Hill House creep you out a little back in 2018? Well this new series follows on in its spooky footsteps and is a loose adaptation of Henry James’ classic ghost story The Turn of the Screw.

A Babysitter’s Guide to Monster Hunting (2020)
Based on the book by author Joe Ballarini, this Netflix movie adaptation follows a high school babysitter who battles the Boogeyman and his monsters when they abduct the boy she's looking after on Halloween.

Unfriended (2014)
Social media can already be scary stuff, but in this horror movie from Universal things get worse. Six teens whose cyberbullying drove their classmate to kill herself become the target of an online stalker with a lethal agenda.

Paranormal Activity 4 (2012)
If 1, 2 and 3 weren't enough, Paranormal Activity 4 is coming to Netflix this October and is guaranteed to make you jumpy at even the smallest of noises in your own home. Continuing tradition, this film picks up where the second film left off (the third was based in the 1980s). It's been five years since the disappearance of the previous main characters, and time for a new suburban family to move into the haunted home. And when a mysterious child moves in for a few days, strange events start happening all over again.

Unsolved Mysteries Volume 2 (2020)
Not quite ghosts and ghouls, but definitely another great way to spend your Halloween. Another set of cold cases around disappearances and deaths are explored in the second volume of the hit true-crime docuseries.

Hubie Halloween (2020)
A more light hearted take on Halloween. In Adam Sandler’s latest Netflix film, he plays Hubie DuBois, a well-intentioned but slightly dopey community volunteer who spends each Halloween exhaustively ensuring his neighbours celebrate the holiday safely. This film's start studded cast also includes Kevin James, Julie Bowne and Maya Rudolph.
