You’ll remember Camilla Thrulow and Jamie Jewitt as the Love Island sweethearts who stole the hearts of the nation in 2017. Well, the couple are once again pulling at our heartstrings with the launch of their natural and sustainable beauty range, Love Jamila.

Camilla and Jamie have created a 100% natural beauty brand, Love Jamila, that champions being kind to ourselves, each other and the planet.
Sustainable Packaging
Instead of relying on plastic, Love Jamie boasts 100% recyclable packaging. You just need to separate the glass jar from its metal lid.
Their ambition is to prove that if a small start-up company can find new and innovative ways to package their products, then big companies can and should be doing the same.
Natural Ingredients
This beauty range is not only good for the environment, it is also great for your skin. The whole range was developed using key natural ingredients that benefit your complexion (no harsh chemicals!).
Their sugar lip scrub, for instance, blends almond oil, jojoba oil and peppermint oil to naturally create its gorgeous minty scent.
Their nourishing balm is packed with shea butter, avocado butter, coconut oil, jojoba wax and peach kernel oil. Combined together, these natural ingredients create a lightweight and moisturising balm that does wonders for your skin.
Because the eye area is so delicate, they’ve used avocado as the key ingredient in their eye cream. Gentle yet effective and moisturising, it hydrates and reinvigorates the skin beneath and around your eyes.
Supporting A Charitable Cause
The couple will also be donating 10% of their turnover to Help Refugees, a charity that supports refugees across Europe and the Middle East.
When you purchase a Love Jamila product, you’ll be supporting the We Are One team in Samos, Greece. They create a ‘safe space’ for women away from the uncomfortable and hostile camps they have to live in.
Within this ‘safe space’, the charity offers yoga, dance and breathing classes, as well as computers and English classes. It gives women the skills, time and space to reclaim their dignity and rebuild a sense of self.
The Story Behind Love Jamila
When Camilla was working with Help Refugees in Lebanon, she kept hearing people use the phrase ‘jameela’. The Arabic term means ‘beauty’ and refers to a deep inner beauty that comes from being kind to yourself and others.
Of course ‘jameela’ is also a homophone of Camilla and Jamie’s affectionate couple nickname ‘Jamila’. That’s when the pair decided to live their lives always trying to do a little better and be a little kinder.
