Tried And Tested

I decided to put the Kiss Proof Lip Finish to the test. From matte and satin lipsticks to lip glosses and lip glides, I’ve trialled them all for you.

I applied each lip colour as I usually would, then waited one minute before adding a coat of Lip Finish. I then waited another minute for that to set before testing whether or not the colour would transfer to a new surface (yes, I spent an hour making out with a piece of paper).

• Liquid Lipstick

I tried it with the NARS Immoral Lip Glide some of you will have received, and was amazed with the results! Even though I only waited one minute, hardly any coloured transferred from my lips to the surface. I mean, can you even see it?

• Lip Gloss

The lip gloss - Lip Finish combo was the second most successful pairing! You can only see the faintest outline of the crease where the lip colour naturally stays on longest.

• Semi-Matte Lipstick

Out of all the lipsticks, the Lip Finish worked best with a semi-matte with quasi no colour transferring.

• Satin Lipstick

Highly creamy and rich, this lipstick naturally takes longer to set and I was fully expecting it to transfer, even with the Lip Finish – but I was wrong! Compared to how much a satin lipstick usually transfers, very little colour left my lips.

• Matte Lipstick

This was the lipstick with the least successful results – but it’s still hardly noticeable! If you want to use the lip finish to make your matte lipstick non-transferable, I would suggest letting it set a few extra minutes before drinking, eating or smooching.
