We've tried a fair few spas in our time. Some offer up the basics of a steam room and heated pool (still a lovely experience), others totally raise the bar and create a retreat that's so entirely perfect, you basically want to move in.
Ragdale Hall does just this - and more. Not only is it the perfect country retreat - it's set in the middle of the soothing Leicestershire countryside - but it also has one of the biggest range of facilities we've come across (and there are more to come). Whether you're after a weekend away with your closest friends, your other half or your mum, it honestly caters for all.
After a thermal room to unwind in? There are a whopping eleven different heated experiences. Fancy a swim? There are five pools to choose from. A particular favourite of ours has to be the candle pool, which is almost akin to swimming into a cave that's beautiful lit by tiny twinkling lights - an utterly relaxing space that provides the perfect spot for a little mindfulness.
In the summer there are sun loungers, for the more sporty there's a whole host of exercise classes, or if you want to take a country walk, you can. Then there's the treatments - yep, you guessed it, an fairly extensive list is on offer to choose from, from Decleor facials to Elemis body massages.
Those who are staying overnight, whether it's for one night or an extended amount of time, you'll be guided up to one of the spa's beautiful rooms - all of which come equipped with the fluffiest of dressing gowns. Then if things couldn't get better, in the morning they wake you up with breakfast in bed. We know right? It seems too good to be true really.
Need a weekend of relaxation? Ragdale Hall is the place to be.
Treatments start at £30, while a spa day at Ragdale Hall starts from £79 – or you can make a weekend of it for £384.
