With brand new formulas and innovations launching on a daily basis, it can be tough to pick out the wheat from the chaff when browsing the internet for our latest beauty buy or strolling down the aisles of our favourite department store on the hunt for skincare, makeup and hair products.
So, we called upon renowned beauty blogger Estée Lalonde to let you in on what she rates as the undisputed bombshells to launch into the beauty world this year. Of course, it goes without saying that all of the products in her October edit are top of her list but here are ten of her favourite beauty products to launch in 2016 (so far)...
Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Cushion Foundation, £27 'I absolutely love the Lancôme Cushion Foundation, it's an innovative all-in-one liquid formula that comes complete with its own puff which makes applying this foundation super easy and mess-free; perfect if I’m on the go or travelling from A to B. The thing I love the most about this foundation is that it’s so easy to control the amount of coverage that you desire; simply press the puff firmly into the cushion to get more product and apply this baby as and when you need it. My makeup bag simply isn’t complete without this in it.'
Becca Champagne Pop, £32 'The name of this highlighter alone is enough to make me feel like the ultimate glamazon and the beautiful mermaid-like shimmering effect that it gives my face is gorgeous. I like to add a dab to the tops of my cheekbones and a touch to my cupid’s bow for a subtle luminosity that lasts all day.'
Garnier Micellar Oil Infused Water, £3.99 'The Garnier Micellar Water has been a staple product in my skincare routine for quite some time now - no other cleanser can remove my makeup as efficiently. Not only that, but it keeps my oily skin at bay. Use it morning and night and watch your complexion improve as each day passes. I’m in love with this stuff!'
Ouai Wave Spray, £22 'I seriously can’t get enough of Ouai products at the moment. My viewers know that I’m totally into that ‘beach hair’ vibe lately, so this texture spray allows me to achieve that look in just one spritz. I love to scrunch this spray into my hair for a super effortless ‘bed head’ finish.'
Bite Beauty Multistick, $24 'I’m all about simple, easy, stress-free makeup, so when a product comes along that has the ability to multitask, I’m all over it. It has quickly become one of my favourite new additions to my makeup bag. With your finger, add a dab of this product to your lips and cheeks for a totally natural vibe, or bounce it on with a beauty blender for a more precise finish. While they're not currently available on British shores, Sephora ships to the UK!'
Chanel L'Eau Perfume, £68 'What perfume collection is complete without a bottle of the Chanel? The latest launch is a sensual mix of cedar and white musk notes, paired with zesty citrus scents. It is totally delicious. A couple of sprays of this before I head out the door makes me feel like a million dollars.'
Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer, £299.99 'I never thought I’d see the day when something as mundane as a hairdryer could make me feel giddy but alas, that day is here. The Dyson Hairdryer means that drying my hair is no longer a chore that I resent but instead, enjoy. By measuring the air temperature every 20 seconds, this baby is able to control heat distribution which in turn helps to reduce damage to your hair, not only that but it’s super speedy and powerful. Nice job, Mr.Dyson.'
GlamGlow GravityMud Firming Treatment, £39 'Sunday nights are my ‘spa nights’, the most highly anticipated time of my working week; the time where I lock the bathroom door behind me and pamper myself from top to toe. Without these nights I swear I can’t function as a normal human being. Face masks are my favourite part of any spa night and GlamGlow GravityMud is my go-to. Infused with Marshmallow and Liquorice Leaf, this peel off mask leaves my skin feeling firm and fresh.'
Kerastase Elixir Ultime Volume Beautifying Oil Mist, £27.50 'This mist gives my hair all sorts of va-va-voom baby, enriched with a blend of precious oils including argan and maize, it makes my hair look super thick, glossy and shiny.'
Anastasia Beverley Hills Liquid Lipsticks, $20 'What was life before liquid lipsticks existed? The Anastasia Beverley Hills liquid lipsticks are ultra pigmented, deliciously rich and super-long wearing. You won’t find me without one in arms reach.'
