It's easy to see why renowned blogger/vlogger Estée Lalonde is so successful. Not only is she witty and authentic, but she's totally found her niche.
So, as curator of our October box, we asked her to share a few tips and insider secrets she's picked up along the way on how to make it as the next big thing...
Be natural and be yourself I think the best advice I would give to anyone who aspires to be a successful blogger is to just be yourself and I KNOW that this sounds super cliché but just work with me here...You need to remember that you’re putting yourself out there for the world to see, so it’s incredibly important that you feel comfortable in your own skin and what you’re saying. If you’re not being yourself then the message that you’re putting out there won’t be genuine and your audience will be able to see that.
Be consistent Consistency is crucial if you want to be successful in this field. The worst thing you can do is peace out for 3 months and leave your viewers hanging high and dry. If you’re having a mind blank or suffering from a case of creative block, going off the radar and leaving your blog on the back burner can only be a bad thing. When you’re feeling unmotivated or stuck for ideas (and believe me, we’ve ALL been there) just push through it, your audience will appreciate your consistency and keep coming back for more.
Be active on social media Social media is such an imperative tool for every blogger, it plays a pretty huge part in determining how successful your blog will be. Make sure that you’re keeping all your social media channels active, the key to gaining more followers is to post regularly. Plus, it’s a great way to keep your current audience up to date with what you’re doing.
Find your niche The enormity of the blogging world can be quite overwhelming at times. There are so many AMAZING people out there that the thought of immersing yourself into that circle can be quite daunting, especially if you’re trying to stand out from the crowd and get your voice heard. you’ll need to find your niche, discover what it is that makes you different and run with it.
Enjoy it and have fun A lot of people don’t realise that being a blogger is full time job, and in fact it often goes beyond normal working hours. When you’re a blogger you have to be ON IT 24/7, so its so important to make sure that you whole heartedly love what you’re doing. Don’t let your blog become a chore, the minute that starts to happen is the minute you need to stop and rethink what you’re doing. The cliché is true, do what you love and love what you do.blogging tips blog writing tips
