Formula is not good

I was very excited to see this one appear as I am always on the look out for a new pore minimising primer but it just did not live up to its claims at all. It made my foundation peel off my skin and did not sit well on the skin at all. Not a good buy.

I love this serum! It works really well as a primer too. The only negative I would say is the smell... it's slightly fishy when you first put it on but apart from that it's perfect. It makes my skin look and feel amazing. I don't use it everyday but I use it everytime I'm wearing heavy makeup and will continue to do so.

I don't have very much experience with primers but have to say I really like this, I have large open pores and very aware they are noticeable and have to say it did make some difference. It definitely matted my face out as I suffer from an oily t-zone. I would recommend this.

I struggle with primers and finding a good one can be time consuming but this was great I feel it really made my skin look flawless under my foundation and it definitely made my foundation look better longer.

Not a fan

For some reason primers make my foundation look cakey and crack easy. For that reason. No mater what primer I use it doesn’t sit nice. This one may suit you though

Surprisingly good despite first impression!

Upon reading that this was a matte and pore minimising product I was prepared for a dimethicone or silicone feel to the products which is usual in pore minimising or matte primers and was shocked to see a very liquid consistency. I, wrongly, assumed that this was going to be a dud.  This is not overly pore minimising but does a fairly good job at it but it wouldn’t replace other pore minimising products in my beauty arsenal. However, I love how this keeps my t-zone, which needs a touch up after 3-4 hours (depending on what foundation I am wearing), matte and shine free for a good while longer than usual (maybe having to touch up with blotting paper and powder at around 6 hours if at all, it really does depend on my foundation of choice that day).  I have used this with more luminous to satin foundations (the new Nars one and Charlotte Tilbury’s Light Wonder) along with a more matte foundation (the L’Oreal Infallible Pro-Matte) and I have to say that I like that I can wear my more glowy foundations without the fear of my t-zone turning super oily as I prefer the finish of my more satin to dewy foundations than a matte. I have set my base with the only powder I trust no matter the foundation or primer I am wearing which is the Charlotte Tilbury one (my Holy Grail of powders) and I have also tried it with the Rimmel Matte Powder: the first keeps the t-zone matte but not flat and doesn’t look cakey or cling to any dry patches but the second one is a lot more matte which I only whip out when I know either a) a really long day ahead and I know I don’t have time to touch up along the way or b) it’s an oily skin kind of day because of hormones.  All in all, I would say this is a good primer and I may well purchase once I got through the full sized one I receive in my Glossybox. It’s mattifying but if you are looking for something that would wipe away your pores maybe look elsewhere.

I don't noramally get on with primers as I find my foundation doesn't settle as well over them but this one seemed to work really well with my skin and my existing makeup routine.
