The Christmas party season is fast approaching and it’s time to start practising your festive look. That’s why your next GLOSSYBOX ‘Advent Calendar’ treat is a versatile pigment powder from PopBeauty that can be used to glam-up in four fabulous and surprising ways.
PopBeauty Pure Pigment Eyeshadow
You’ve just unwrapped the PopBeauty Pure Pigment Eyeshadow. Designed with the latest technology and highest-quality raw materials, it’s a highly concentrated powder that can be applied dry for a soft diffusion of shimmer or wet for an intense shot of colour. You’ll have received the Metallic Copper shade, a stunning hue that will look good on your eyes, cheeks and lips.
Four Ways To Use Your Pigment Powder
I only started using pigment powder recently, but I’ve fallen in love with the versatility of this product. So you can make the most of your powder too, here are some of my favourite creative and fun ways to apply your Pure Pigment Eyeshadow.
1. A Creamy Eyeshadow
The most common way of using your pigment powder is as an intense and creamy eyeshadow.
Simply mix the pigments with setting spray to create a smooth paste. I’d recommend the Infallible Fixing Mist from L’Oréal Paris.
The pigments will then turn into a creamy eyeshadow. You can apply it on your whole lid, or use an eyeliner brush to create a glittery cat eye. You can also wear the dry pigments over a matte eyeshadow to give your look a shimmery finish.
2. A Coloured Mascara
This is definitely a #TBT kind of moment, but I used to love coloured mascaras. The metallic blue was always my go-to! You can create your very own retro look by mixing the pigments with a clear mascara.
Place a small pinch of pigments into a bowl, add a dollop of clear gel and mix together. You can then evenly apply your sparkly copper mascara to your lashes using a clean or disposable mascara wand.
The NYX Professional Makeup Control Freak Eye Brow Gel should do the trick.
3. A Glittery Lipstick
Glittery lips are all the rage, and what better time to experiment with the look than at Christmas?
Using your pigments, you can create your very own shiny copper lipstick. Simply mix the pigments with a liquid lip balm or some clear lip gloss and dab onto your lips with a lip brush. For extra hold, consider applying the 3INA lip primer first.
You can also wear the dry pigments over a matte lipstick or lip gloss give your pout a shimmery undertone.
4. A Metallic Nail Polish
You better believe it Glossies! Pigment powder can even be used to create an intensely-coloured metallic nail polish. All you need to do is mix some pigments with a clear nail polish and apply to your nails. Obviously, the more pigments you use, the more intense the colour.
