Dry shampoo has been a firm staple in our beauty kits for many years now, namely for its ability to instantly refresh our hair, without the need to actually wash it. If you ask us, the option to snooze your alarm is to blame for our sheer laziness some mornings, but who really cares if our trusty bottle of dry shampoo is at hand to save the day.
If second day hair is your jam and dry shampoo is your bestie too, hair stylist to the Kardashian clan and founder of Ouai, Jen Atkin, has well and truly shaken up the industry with her latest launch.
Ouai has launched a dry shampoo that foams, as opposed to distilling a powdery spray on your roots. Yep, really. After hearing numerous people praise it, our social assistant Emma put it to the test to see if it really lived up to our expectations...
'The foam texture kind of put me off at first. I didn't see how a mousse-like formula could possibly save my greasy roots. In my head, I simply presumed it would leave them looking full of product, if not worse than they did before. How wrong I was. Once you rub a palm-full between your hands, you can almost feel the powder kind of 'activating'. Then, when it's worked into your locks it disappears and soaks up any signs of grease, adds volume and smells delicious (if you're familiar with Ouai, you'll know what I'm talking about already).
I used it for a whole week until I REALLY needed to wash my hair. Not only is it great to use for a cleanse and refresh, it also gives amazing volume from the root and leaves a just-washed shine in its path. I'd go as far as to say I'd probably even use it when my hair is clean. Well done Jen!
