Extreme Beauty Testing: 48 Hour Hair Minimising Deodorant

It seems like a fairly big claim for a deodorant to not only offer 48 hours of protection, but the ability to minimise hair growth too, right? Well, that's precisely what Soft & Gentle Hair Minimise Anti-Perspirant promises. So we decided to really put it through its paces and see if it truly lives up to expectations.

To test it out, our graphic design assistant Ana went about her usual daily activities to see how well it lasted, from gymming to commuting on a humid tube and she didn't stop there - she also continued using it for the following eight weeks to see if it minimsed her under arm hair at all too.How it worksAs well as keeping you fresh in the heat, this anti-perspirant works double duty to combat unwanted underarm hair. It contains a hair growth minimiser called Keliosoft, a natural plant molecule that reduces the protein that stimulates hair growth. The results are that pesky underarm hairs become thinner and grow more slowly, leaving skin smoother after just eight weeks. You use it like any normal anti-perspirant, but don’t apply to sore or broken skin.The verdictI was pretty dubious about it keeping me fresh for an entire 48 hours - it just seemed like a pretty lengthy amount of time for one deodorant. But I'm happy to say I was pleasantly surprised! It got me through my usual gym workout, four sweaty commutes and two days of meetings. Admittedly I did re-spritz after my workout, but I think that was more of a psychological thing than anything else and by the end of day two, I was still as fresh as when I started out! And yes, I made sure someone else did a smell check on me too.

When it came to decreasing hair re-growth, I definitely noticed a difference after a couple of months and my underarms were so much smoother. This one's most definitely a keeper and I'm pleased to say it lives up to its claims!
