Colour Correct Your Way To Flawless Skin

Colour correcting is one of those beauty techniques that seems beyond confusing at first, but once you've got the hang of it, it quickly becomes second nature.

While applying multiple colours to your face may seem counterintuitive (or like a new crazy colourful take on contouring, which essentially it is) it's all about the basic principles of colour theory. It follows the premise that colours opposite one another on the colour wheel cancel each other out and in turn neutralise the tone of your skin - from disguising the redness of blemishes to banishing the blue and purple tones that tiredness leaves under our peepers.

GreenAt the opposite end of the colour wheel to red, green provides us with the perfect tone to mute out the redness of blemishes and tone down ruddy cheeks. Lavender

Yellow neutralises purple and brown hues, so if you suffer from pigmentation or dark spots it'll work wonders to even out your skin tone. Pink

Peach

Orange

If you have deep or olive skin peach can be a little too light but orange works in exactly the same way to lift cool tones.
