With so many beauty credentials under their belt, we wanted to steal a few tips from our German counterparts. Here, Diana Damm, GLOSSYBOX Germany’s Editor tells us what products shape her beauty routine.

My beauty routine is straightforward because I believe that less is more, as do a lot of my colleagues. German women mostly focus on quality instead of quantity. Plus, when we find a product or brand that we love, we tend to stick to it for a long time. With that in mind, here are some of the products that I can’t live without...

The Cleansers

When it comes to skincare and makeup, PIXI is one of my favourite brands. The formulations are very gentle, have a lovely, subtle fragrance, and are cruelty-free. If you have dry and very sensitive skin like me, then I’d recommend using the two below products in your daily cleansing routine.

The Milky Lotion removes dirt and makeup residue gently yet effectively. I then use the Bi-Phase Makeup Remover Milk for my eye makeup.

The Exfoliators

I have a real soft spot for konjac sponges! On days when my skin doesn’t feel completely cleansed, I apply one after a cleanser. Vegan and natural, these sponges have a peel-like effect on the skin as they open your pores and leave your skin feeling very soft.

I also like to exfoliate two to three times a week to give my skin that extra boost it needs. The Daily Superfoliant from Dermalogica works wonders on pale and tired skin!

Getting My Glow On

Morning Routine

Every morning, I’ll always apply either a vitamin C serum, retinol or hyaluronic acid (or some combination of all three), followed by a tinted day cream with SPF and a primer that gives my skin a soft glow.

Tanning

Of course, when it comes to achieving that summer’s glow, there’s one product that I just can’t get enough of: the Self-Tan Drops by Tan Luxe. I simply add a couple of drops to my serum, apply the concoction onto my skin, give it a few minutes to work its magic, then continue with my morning routine.

Evening Routine

Before going to bed, I usually opt for a nourishing oil. My favourite has to be the pai Rosehip Oil. It regenerates my skin overnight, so I wake up with glowing skin the next morning.

Makeup Must-Haves

Then there are a few makeup products that I use almost every day:

Concealer to hide dark circles and spots of my face
Mascara to make my eyes look bigger and brighter
A long-lasting, nude lip liner
Eyebrow pencil to carve my arch
Bronzing powder with glitter to contour my face and define my features
