From Saturday Ikea runs to The Killing and Alexander Skarsgård, we're already hooked on all things Scandinavian, so it seems perfectly fitting that we turn to our Nordic neighbours for a little beauty inspiration too. Especially as they're famed for impeccably flawless skin and healthy, glowing complexions.

1. Sunscreen: Vichy Ideal Soleil Antioxidant Water SPF30

In Sweden, as you know, we don’t get that many hours of sun. So, when the long-awaited, warming rays of the early summer finally arrive, I, like many other fellow sun worshipers, eagerly close my eyes, turn my face to the sky and soak in the rays. As such, my first must-have product is a pretty obvious choice: sun protection!

Since I have combination skin with both dry and greasy parts, I prefer to use a lighter spray that works under makeup, without making the skin oily. That's why Vichy Ideal Soleil Antioxidant Water SPF30 is one of my personal favourites. This spring-light mist is hypoallergenic and can be used to protect both face and body against harmful UVA and UVB rays. Perfect to use during the day under makeup!

2. A Little Extra Glow: bareMinerals Bronze Powder

A really good bronzing powder is a must in my daily makeup routine during the summer months. I just quickly swipe it on using a powder brush and it gives my whole complexion an extra sun-kissed look. It also works great as a contour to accentuate your best features!

bareMinerals Bronze Powder is a lightweight mineral powder that lets the skin breathe yet gives a highly pigmented result. Just collect a few pigments and apply as desired but remember - a small amount is enough to add colour to your entire face!

Insider Tip: The great thing about bronzing powders is that they can also be used as eyeshadows. Apply with a moistened eyeshadow brush for a more intense result.

3. A Subtle Touch Of Raspberry: Trifle Cosmetics Lip & Cheek Jam

When it comes to multifunctional products, the Lip & Cheek Jam from Trifle Cosmetics is one of the best! The delicate tint can be worn as a discreet raspberry pink shade or built up to an intense bright red. Plus, it works just as well on lips as on cheekbones.

Simply pat it on with your fingertips until you achieve your desired result. Just like the bronzing powder, this type of product, thanks to its lightweight formula, can be used on both hot summer days and balmy evenings. It provides a natural colour for a fresh, summery no-makeup makeup look!

4. Brushed Brows: MAC Brow Set-Clear

If you are interested in beauty, you no doubt followed the big brushed eyebrows trend à la browlift in spring of this year. We saw it everywhere – on Instagram, in town, on our friends, maybe you have even tested it yourself? For those of you who don’t want to go all-in and permanently dye your brows, there are other options: a clear brow gel will help you to shape them!

A pair of bushy brushed brows can add flair to an otherwise understated makeup look. Just brush your eyebrows upwards and then fix them in place using a clear eyebrow gel. My personal favourite is the MAC Brow Set-Clear. It won’t fill your brows in, but you can pair it with an eyebrow pencil if you want a fuller look.

5. Luxurious Lip Balm For Hot Days: Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Lip Protectant Stick

Fancy treating yourself to something extra special? Opt for Elizabeth Arden's classic Eight Hour Cream in lipstick format with sun protection! The lipstick protects against environmental factors and roasting sun rays. In other words, it is the perfect companion during this summer's adventures!
